The Traditions and beliefs of RaeLee Lyn
High Priestess of The Black Hat SocietyTM
I am Raelee Lyn. I am a fifth generation keeper of the craft, yet I cannot tell you the name of my beliefs as my family has practiced under many titles and belief systems. We are Swiss German, Irish, and Native American, Leni Lenape and our beliefs come from across cultures.
We are herbal healers, women of the woods, we sense what others choose to ignore, and we hear the voices of those before us and feel the energy of those yet to come. We heal, we cleanse, and we positively affect those around us.
When I was a child I remember being told to heal an eye injury by waking with the morning sun, walking in silence to the grass, kneeling down and collecting the dew in my hands and washing my eyes. I remember talking about family members and their premonitions, of seeing what others do not see. I heard stories of hand healing, powwowing, hexing and of spells and of potions. At a very young age I chose to learn more. I've taken in pieces and wisdom from many different beliefs and made them my own. Sometimes I call myself a witch, sometimes I say I follow the weirding way, and sometimes I just say I am a keeper of the craft.
I've traveled the world in search of sacred places and sacred experiences. At times to mountaintops, and also descending into the seas. I've bedded down in the woods listening to nature's sacred rhythms. I've traveled to the equatorial line in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador and bathed in healing volcanic mud baths. I've been to sacred grounds in Ireland walking amongst Celtic megalithic sites in search of truth and healing. I've learned from native Elders and I've studied with a west African/Haitian voodoo priestess. In my search for the ancient wisdom I have been to 15 countries. I've stood on the shores of the Pacific, the Atlantic, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. I've washed in the healing waters of Glendalough Lake, walked over the ridge line of three mountains, lain in the pine beds of the ancient redwoods and basked in the light and wisdom of the Dalai Lama.
When in Ireland I traveled to the wailing stone. The wailing stone was used in Celtic Times to designate priests and priestesses. We were told that when the stone was grasp if it were indeed a priest or a priestess you'd hear a wailing sound in the distance. The tour guide asked if anyone would like to try, the first volunteer to try produced no sound. I walked to the stone and put both hands on it as if I was hugging it and you could hear a high wail in the backgrounds.
Elders approach me and warn me not to let my light shine so brightly but I choose to do so anyway. My mission is to help of those I can and inspire many. I want to teach the old ways the respect for nature and a belief system based in peace and light.
I bring you the wisdom of the woods, the truths I've learned during my travels, a pure heart and the desire to share and teach the white craft. I bring you treasures to help you learn, and tools to assist you in your craft. The craft is a very personal pursuit, use the tools that enhance your abilities and resonate with your spirit. The Black Hat SocietyTM exists to provide you with the instruments you need to sharpen and hone your craft. I will personally cleanse and bless all items
Always remember, harm none and always follow the path of light and truth. Blessed be.
